Strictly Come Dancing’s new Line up includes Victoria Pendleton
During the Olympics, viewers were used to seeing a bare-faced Victoria Pendleton kitted out in a Team GB tracksuit.
What a difference some Strictly sparkle can make. The gold medal-winning cyclist has been unveiled as one of the 14 contestants taking part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, cutting a glamorous figure in a sequinned cutaway outfit which reveals her finely-honed physique.
“It’s just going to be me trying something new, learning a new skill and getting to dress very glamorously with all the sparkles and make-up and hair, which is something I haven’t seen a lot of over the last few years,” said Pendleton, who is now retired from competitive sport.
She rated her dance skills as “0.5 out of 10” but said she would bring her competitive edge to proceedings.
